Book Review: Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

SYNOPSIS:
INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.
Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn't drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.
Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

MY REVIEW:
I ended up giving this book a 5/5 stars. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! I like these age group books when the girls are in their last year of high school or first or second year of college. I can relate (not the sex parts) to their lives because I am around the age group. I liked the character of Travis and how he changed once meeting Abby. And by the way, I hate how he called her Pidge or Pigeon. Abby is not that hard of a name to remember! But, I do have to say the only downfall to this book is how Abby acted. She was always trying to pick a fight! Like, just be with him already! Its going to happen anyway! But, I love when she was living with him for that month and they became bestfriends! I overall enjoyed the plot and the storyline. I also enjoyed all the adventures they had! I just want to read the sequel to read the story all over again! I recommend it!

Book Review: Slammed (#1) by Colleen Hoover

SYNOPSIS:
Following the unexpected death of her father, 18-year-old Layken is forced to be the rock for both her mother and younger brother. Outwardly, she appears resilient and tenacious, but inwardly, she's losing hope.
Enter Will Cooper: The attractive, 21-year-old new neighbor with an intriguing passion for slam poetry and a unique sense of humor. Within days of their introduction, Will and Layken form an intense emotional connection, leaving Layken with a renewed sense of hope.
Not long after an intense, heart-stopping first date, they are slammed to the core when a shocking revelation forces their new relationship to a sudden halt. Daily interactions become impossibly painful as they struggle to find a balance between the feelings that pull them together, and the secret that keeps them apart.

MY REVIEW:
Well I definitely LOVED THIS BOOK! I gave it a 5/5 stars. I know Ive been saying this about a lot of the books Ive been reading lately  but they are all so good! I loved the characters, the story line, and how cheesy the romance is! But one thing is for sure-I didnt like how they werent together throughout his teaching at her school! But that they made little passes at each other, still talked and how he stuck up for her outside of CLUB N9NE. I have never read a book like this one before. I mean with the poetry and slams. I love how he always tell her how he feels through his slams too. Definitely a re-read! If you like any other Colleen Hoover's books, read this one!

Book Review: Easy by Tammara Webber

SYNOPSIS:
Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…
The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.
Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.
A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.

MY REVIEW:
I ended up giving this book a 4/5 stars. I really liked the characters and their love story. I think the only reason I gave it a 4 was because the plot was not that interesting. There was only a small plot/problem/resolution. I felt it could have been a bigger or more interesting for that matter. I really liked the whole concept of it, I just feel it could have been more involved with Jacqueline. And, Lucas' past could have been more incorporated into the story as well. I still loved how he was there for her and how their romance grew! Loved the book and would definitely recommend it!

Book Review: Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

SYNOPSIS:
Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies…
That’s what seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s life will change forever.

MY REVIEW:
I cant say anything bad about this book. Seriously. I gave this book a 5/5 most definitely. I read it while I was up north for two days. I could not put this book down. I recommend this book to anyone in the mature young adult/adult genre. I loved Sky throughout the whole story. I also absolutely loved Holder through it too. He stuck by her even though all of these bad things were happening to her and still wanted her. Their love is definitely one for the books! I loved the whole adventure through the book and it turned into an amazing plot. Right when I thought it was going to end, things jumped out from every corner and made me love the story even more. I didnt want this book to end! I CANNOT WAIT FOR LOSING HOPE TO COME OUT THIS SUMMER. Hopeless is now my favorite book....EVER! I will definitely be reading this book in the very near future!
