Book Review: Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry

SYNOPSIS:
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.
Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

MY REVIEW:
This book was amazing! I gave it a 5/5 stars! I just loved the characters and how they got to know each other. I loved how they both had problems and stayed together through all of them. I did not like her parents or step mom throughout the whole book. They were just really selfish and I did not enjoy the parts of the book when they were in it. I fell in love with Noah right off the bat and felt sorry for Echo through most of the book! I still loved it though. It was a total page turner and I couldnt put it down. It ended way too fast and I cant wait to read Dare You To. The companion/sequel to Pushing The Limits. Cant wait til it comes out! :)

Book Review: The D.U.F.F. by Kody Keplinger

SYNOPSIS:
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.
But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him. Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

MY REVIEW:
This book was amazing! I could NOT put it down! I gave this book a 5/5 stars! I read it in two days.  I think I kind of related to this book because  well, Im the DUFF in my group of friends so it was nice to read a book about how it feels! I loved the way Bianca's character developed throughout the story and Wesley's character did as well. I love their parts together in the book. It made me laugh so hard! I also loved how cheesy Wesley was when he was 'chasing after her.' I wanted them to be together forever! I liked and disliker her friends for being so up in her business, but Im glad it all worked out in the end. I really recommend this book if you are a total romance junkie! I am definitely going to be reading this book in the future! :)

Book Review: Along For The Ride by Sarah Dessen

SYNOPSIS:
It’s been so long since Auden slept at night. Ever since her parents’ divorce—or since the fighting started. Now she has the chance to spend a carefree summer with her dad and his new family in the charming beach town where they live.

A job in a clothes boutique introduces Auden to the world of girls: their talk, their friendship, their crushes. She missed out on all that, too busy being the perfect daughter to her demanding mother. Then she meets Eli, an intriguing loner and a fellow insomniac who becomes her guide to the nocturnal world of the town. Together they embark on parallel quests: for Auden, to experience the carefree teenage life she’s been denied; for Eli, to come to terms with the guilt he feels for the death of a friend.

MY REVIEW:
I gave this book a 4/5 Stars. Sarah Dessen is always up and down with me. The first book I read of hers was That Summer and I gave that a 3/5 and the next one I read was 5/5 and then there is this one. This book was okay. Nothing exceptional but not boring. I liked the parts where she got to see Eli and how she hung out with him almost every night. The beginning of this book took a while to get into, the middle was okay, and then the end was hard to get through. I did not like her parents through the book and enjoyed her stepmom, Heidi. I also did not like how she spent a lot of time apart from Eli. And then he just all of a sudden comes back at the end. I did like Eli, and her friends and how Auden became more friendly around people throughout the summer. I did enjoy this book and would recommend it if you werent into fast-paced books. This was a slow book, but I did like it!

Hey Guys!

So, I am starting a new blog....about books! I will be doing book hauls, book reviews, monthly to-be reads and wrap ups! I read mostly Young Adult and an Adult Novel here and there. Yes, I am a romance junkie, so the book will have to have a cute couple somewhere or I will not be interested. It can have adventure, be fantasy or even horror, but their has to be a relationship involved somewhere! I love the contemporary novels! My favorite authors are probably Stephanie Perkins, Jenny Han, Simone Elkeles, Veronica Rossi and John Green. I have yes and nos about Sarah Dessen and Nicholas Sparks, so it would have to depend on the book! I will be posting a book haul very soon, so stay tuned! :)
